Virtual Reality, a mind blowing innovation of technology!
Back in the 1950's this was just another impossible scenario for the companies related to technology, this was the dream of every single person to have an artificial experience of life. As the revolution of technology evolved day by day, this world got more artificial and finally in mid 2015's this impossible dream got true and here we are in the era of Virtual Reality. However, (Internationally) over 40% of people don't know about VR and still VR is not a common gadget that everyone knows about so a lot of people ask is it fun?, is it worth it? and how does it work? Fortunately, I'm here to answer all those questions.
Fun? Its hell of fun when you get to wear it for the first time, Its a total mind blowing brain storming experience that a individual never experienced before! Imagine yourself in a Joy Ride covered with screens and for example a dinosaur is coming to eat you and actually you get scared because it looks so real. But However, the level of fun depends upon how much are you willing to pay.

For Example: Oculas Rifts VR is really expensive ranging from 800$-1500$ (not accurate pricing). The benefit of spending too much money on Oculas's VR is that its a well developed company which offers a properly designed VR consisting of expensive hardware which captures your body motions, movements etc! And also it has its built in engine which lets you create your own personal virtual scenario and more which connects with computers. They have proper tech support and the experience of OR VR's is totally brain cracking!
You can see they have some serious engineering going on in the headset it self! (picture courtesy: iFixit) |
How does it work? Well its quite in detail but i will cover enough information so that everyone can understand it. It works by placing your smartphone in the box and creating visual 3D effects from appropriate supported apps! Almost all cardboards are connected through NFC (near field communication) or BT (Bluetooth) to help sync the box with the smartphone. Google also offers an official app for cardboard called Carboard. More over, Youtube's official app is now supporting Cardboard features built in the Youtube app it self which is totally mind blowing! So now you can enjoy your favourite videos of youtube on Virtual Reality!
